Sunlight Boosts Your Immune System

July 9, 2022 by Jodell Raymond

Sunlight boosts your immune system. Short on energy to get through your day? The easiest way to boost your immune system is to get outside for 15-20 minutes and get some sun! If you can take your lunch outdoors, do it! How about working from your deck or patio. All you need to do is to drag your laptop outside & soak it up or go for a lunch time walk. It’s one of the easiest things we can do for our health & to boost our immune system. Consult with your N.D. as to the ways to increase your immune system.  In addition, sunlight exposure is essential to ensuring proper levels of circulating Vitamin D.

Infrared light, which is the primary component of sunlight is a source of ENERGY our bodies use as FUEL and a positive way to affect not only the skin, but the entire body. Just like we put food in our body for fuel, infrared light is also a source of fuel.

Find ways to minimize the negative effects of artificial light. There are many reasons why excess artificial light sources such as LED lights, lights from our computer & phone screens are so bad. The infrared light from these sources are subtracted out. Not only do these artificial lights provide excess blue light which messes with our circadian rhythm, but light from natural sources (such as sunlight) actually provides fuel for our bodies (and artificial light does not), so we have energy to do all the great things in our day we want to do.

So as much as you can, create better balance by getting natural light  and block out the nasty blue light by using a good pair of blue light blocker glasses.
